“My passion is in the space where bugs and plants meet. I am a burgeoning entomologist with a background in sustainable landscape design. I want a career in academia where I teach and conduct research in the areas of ecology and sustainable landscape design.”

I have my Ph.D. in Entomology from NC State University and study how to manipulate plantings around street trees to promote beneficial insects, which have the potential to control pests on street trees.  My research will create habitat thresholds that designers and planners can use to landscape around street trees and reduce insecticide use.
